NEW! Kayak del Mar is proud to present a new mountainbiking adventure in cooperation with Pedales de Lava. Pedales de Lava is a mountain bike route which runs throughout the island of Lanzarote. It also passes through the small and nearby island of the Graciosa. It covers a distance of 247 kilometres and its riders accumulate a total of 3,500 meters of elevation. It is designed to be done in between 4 and 7 days. Our recommendation is to do it in 5 days. The route is self-guided with the help of a route or road book which we offer. If you prefer, you can rent a GPS with the route incorporated into it. Thanks to the climate of the Canarian islands, this is perfect route for any time of the year. It is especially recommended in the autumn and in the winter when the days are clearer and the weather is more stable. If you decide to join us on the Pedales de Lava, we will take care of everything; choosing your lodging and transporting your luggage from hotel to hotel we can do it all. Even if you dont want to bring your own bike we can rent a high quality one for you. Although the route is self guided, you have to pass through a series of control points where you will have your road book stamped. When you finish the route and after confirming that your road book has been properly stamped at each point, we will give you the Pedales de Lava exclusive cycling jersey. This jersey is only given to those who finish the route. It can not be purchased.

Everyone with a good fitness level and a basic knowledge of cycling will be able to participate on this tour where you will experience the incredible beauty of La Graciosa, the 8th CanaryIsland north of Lanzarote.
The ferry leaves for La Graciosa at 10:00 and arrives at 10:30
The bike tour starts from Caleta Cebo at 11:00 with a 2km slight uphill section towards the Cruze Central, the cross roads where you can chose 4 directions.
We carry on north downhill towards Playa de las Conchas where we take a break and view the amazing sight of this yellow beach with the islands of Monta�a Clara and Alegranza as a backdrop. From here the tracks take us north-east through a flat desert like landscape where you experience the fact that you are only 130 km away from the Sahara. We arrive at Playa de Lambra, a beautiful but wave beaten beach with white sand and black rocks.
A short encounter with sandy tracks leads us towards the small village Pedro Barba where we take another break and a cooling swim (optional) in the turquoise waters of the protected lagoon. The last six km start with a little uphill but soon flattens out and we see the village of Caleta Cebo on the coast down on the left side with Lanzarote and the Famara mountains in the horizon.
Upon arrival at the harbour a sandwich is ready and there is plenty of time for a swim, relax in the sun, coffee or drink before we board the boat and head for home.

Everyone with a good fitness level and some MTB knowledge will be able to participate on this tour where you will experience the captivating nature of Lanzarote.
The tour is designed for a maximum of 12 participants to ensure a better rhythm for each participant. A support vehicle will follow the cyclists throughout the tour. The tour starts easy through La Santa village where we take a right turn along the Atlantic coast past Monta�a Bermejo where a steady climb starts towards La Costa near Tinajo.
Once we reach the back roads of Tinajo the climb levels out again and we take a right into the wine fields of El Tablero. Reaching Tinguaton we enter into the black lava from the 1736 eruption originating from Timanfaya National Park. We stop for a break at a lava cave used by locals for celebrations and parties.
The slightly more technical tracks takes us slowly through Tisalaya and the valley of Chibusque where we enter a section of asphalt road towards La Vegueta, dirt roads again to Tiagua, Los Cabocos in direction of Soo, El Jablillo, the Atlantic coast and Caleta Caballo to CLS.
