Accidents Insurance and Public Liability

Scuba Medic is an international insurance that covers accidents and medical bills, established especially for divers and partakers of other aquatic sports, no matter what their level or certification might be.
With Scuba Medic you will be covered for any expenses incurred in medical treatments required after having suffered aquatic accidents anywhere in the world, as well as rescue and transportation fees to the nearest hospital, and the coverage also includes compensation in case of death and permanent invalidity.
In order to comply with current Spanish law, the insurance also includes public liability insurance in case the insured faces any demands in connection with the practicing of an aquatic sport.
This insurance is guaranteed by Lloyd’s, the oldest and most prestigious insurance company in the world.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
PRESUMPTIONS: - When we are dealing with active tourism and adventure sports in general there is an inherent potential risk. The guides and instructors are skilled and have the necessary experience to work in their chosen field. Personal safety while practicing the activity depends on a large degree on each individual paying attention to the given instructions and directions.
1.- The activities on offer are subject to the conditions of the environment in which they are being practiced and to the participants, thus, sudden changes may occur before or even during the activity (meteorological changes, sudden alterations in the sea, physical changes in one of the participants, etc.) Should Kayak del Mar have to cancel an activity for any reason, the client has a right to a postponement, participation in another activity, or a refund.
2.- The client must inform of possible pregnancy, paralysis or cardiovascular diseases before signing up for any activity. Also, the client must guarantee not to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, nor any other medication that could impair his/her reaction speed.
To participate in water activities it is imperative to be able to swim. On the information sheet for each activity the conditions and necessary minimum ages for participation are specified. Minors must present authorization from a parent or legal guardian or be accompanied by a responsible person.
Under all circumstances, and especially when it comes to activities for the advanced, Kayak del Mar may chose to test the qualifications of a participant and reserves the right to refuse participation.
3.- Kayak del Mar’s obligation begins with the contracted activity. It is therefore the responsibility of the client to secure transportation to the base or any other starting place. The agreement and responsibility of Kayak del Mar is only related to the direct work of its instructors and the operation of the activity.
4.- The prices are per person for the indicated minimum number of participants and include the direct services offered by Kayak del Mar, including IGIC (local VAT). Unless explicitly stated to the contrary, external services (such as accommodation, transport, etc.) are on the account of the client, although, in order to facilitate these services they may on occasion be managed by Kayak del Mar.
5.- The price covers the necessary equipment. The information sheet specifies the equipment required for each activity and programme.
