Qualified instructors will coach you from beginner�s level up to advanced level. You can have specific training or personal skills development or just refresh your proficiency with a 1:1 session.

COURSES
                               

Kayak del Mar organize both BCU and EPP certified courses in cooperation with UK and Scandinavian kayak clubs. Dates for these courses will be announced in the LATEST NEWS section on the Home page. Clubs or groups who whish to hold a certified course outside these dates are very welcome. Kayak del Mar can provide BCU or EPP certified instructors if required. Please contact us for further details.

Kayak del Mar sea kayak courses include instructor, kayak, accessories and facilities.
Maximum 6 persons per course.
You must be able to swim.
We recommend you bring a dry change of clothes, towel, food and water, sunscreen
Kayak del Mar offers free transportation to and from the base. Max. 8 persons

Level 1 � Introduction to Sea Kayaking

Introduction to Sea Kayak - 2 x 2 hours + 1 half-day trip

Minimum age 14

You will learn:

  • Paddling gear and terminology
  • Water confidence and safety
  • Basic manoeuvring of a kayak
  • Core stability and capsize prevention
  • Basic rescue skills

Level 2 � Intermediate

Intermediate - 2 x 3 hours 
euro 120 per person
Minimum age 16

A course aimed at the novice sea kayaker who wants to further his/her skills towards becoming self sufficient.
We will cover among other things:

  • Advanced paddling skills and manoeuvring.
  • Self rescues with paddle float
  • High and low braces
  • Trip planning
  • Towing
  • Safety  

Level 3 � Advanced

Advanced - 2 x 3 hours 
euro 140 per person
Minimum age 16

For the advanced paddler who wants to improve together with an experienced instructor.

  • Open sea crossing and dealing with wind and waves
  • Rough water handling
  • Surfing
  • Eskimo roll
